I wanted to find out why the irctc.co.in website is not having an option to book onward / return journey ticket. Just because of this we have to visit railway reservation ticket counter to book onward journey ticket. I think that if we have this option online we can save time and money.
For example the second class sleeper fare from secunderabad to nagpur is 261 Rs. Again the ticket from nagpur to rourkela is 297. The total ticket cost is 558. But the same journey ticket can be booked at the price of 400 Rs if we book at reservation counter. That means we are saving 158 Rs. Per ticket. This is not possible through irctc.
Can any body tells the reason for this.
