What is the difference between MCSE and MCITP?

MCSE (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer) is certification from Microsoft and the exams are based on windows server 2003 or 2000. MCITP is an examination to test the skills for a specific job role, based on Microsoft new technologies like window server 2008, Exchange Server 2010 or SQL Server 2008. We can upgrade to MCITP or MCTS if we are MCSE.
