There are lot of areas, Microsoft is testing candidates through their certification programs. MCSA, MCSE, MCITP and MCTS are the certifications for the network administrators. We will become MCP (Microsoft Certified Professional) as soon as we pass one of the following exam.

The reason I chosen this exam as client exam requirement for MCSE is that this exam also help me to achieve MCITP: Enterprise Administrator

- Deploying Windows 7
- Configuring Hardware and Applications
- Configuring Network Connectivity
- Configuring Access to Resources
- Configuring Mobile Computing
- Monitoring and Maintaining Systems that Run Windows 7
- Configuring Backup and Recovery Options
One Exam on design is required to achieve MCSE.
Exam 70-297: Designing a Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Active Directory and Network Infrastructure
- Creating the Conceptual Design by Gathering and Analyzing Business and Technical Requirements
- Creating the Logical Design for an Active Directory Infrastructure
- Creating the Logical Design for a Network Services Infrastructure
- Creating the Physical Design for an Active Directory and Network Infrastructure
One elective Exam is required to pass to complete the MCSE (MCSA & MCSE)
The main reason I have chosen this exam as elective to get MCSE is that this exam will also help me to achieve MCITP: Database Administrator 2008
