Some useful English words to remember with examples

I have collected some of words while reading a human skills development book and listed here with the meanings and examples. These words may be useful to my readers. I have collected the information from different sources of internet and oxford dictionary. 

Adhere

Stick fast to a surface. Behave according to (adhere to) our plan.  The mud adhered to his shoes. Glue adhere the tiles to the wallboard.

Adrenaline

A hormone secreted by the adrenal glands which cause excitement, physical or mental stress, and stimulation as forms fear or injury.

Aggravate

The war was aggregating the situation. To make worse or more severe, To aggravate a grievance, To aggravate an illness.

Aggression

The act of attacking without provocation is called aggression. The action of a state in violating by force the rights of another state is called aggression. The army is prepared to stop any foreign aggression.

Ambiguity

The meaning of ambiguity is double meaning. The use of this word in a sentence is tried to avoid ambiguity in setting out the rules. While setting out the rules and regulations, we should avoid ambiguity. Doubtfulness or uncertainty of meaning or intension is called ambiguity. Speaking with a ambiguity is also a example of usage of ambiguity.  

Anguish

The meaning of anguish is severe mental or physical pain or suffering. He is anguishing over loss of a loved one.

Antidote

A medicine taken or given to counteract poison, disease etc. good jobs are best antidote to teenage crime is a example to use antidote word.

Apathetic

Having no emotion or interest is called apathetic. One who is not interested or concerned is called apathetic person. He is indifferent or unresponsive. The audience are apathetic towards a magic show conducted by a person.

Appraise

I had my appraisal with my boss last week. He estimated my quality of mine towards work given to me and given score of cent percent. I have set the price of search engine optimized website of $249. He tried to appraise the car mine. 

Assert

Declare or state clearly are meanings of assert. He has asserted his innocence of the crime. The candidate asserted himself about his property taxes.

Astonish

Surprise greatly. To fill with sudden surprise or wonder is called astonish. Another meaning of astonish is amaze. Today, her easy humor and keen intellect astonished me.

Authoritarian

Favoring, encouraging. Authoritarian is a favoring complete obedience or subjection to authority as opposed to individual freedom. Ex: Authoritarian principles, authoritarian attitudes.

Autocracy

The absolute government by one person is called autocracy. The power exercised by such a person is uncontrolled and unlimited. This type of country called autocratic county or society.
