The Nokia E6 comes with a slightly weaker processor, the 600 MHz ARM 11 processor. However, this does not mean that the Smartphone lacks in performing power management. e6 comes with 2D/3D Graphics HW Accelerator with Open GL 1.1 and Open GL ES 2.0. What does this all mean? The Finnish Smartphone manufacturer Nokia has officially announced the Nokia X7 and the E6. However, will these new smart phones offer the same features of previous handsets such as the Nokia E7 and N8? Let’s find out what new features the Nokia X7 and E6 have to offer. All handsets are featured by an ARM 11 processor. The Nokia X7, E7, and N8 come with the same 680 MHz ARM 11 processor what it before. The three come with an integrated Broadcom BCM2727 GPUs. This allows users to enjoy more from graphics, which Nokia did not make use it in the past.
While the two previous releases of Nokia comes pre installed with the Symbian 3, the Nokia X7 and the E6 come pre-installed with the latest Symbian Anna OS in it. This platform has a number of new features to offer its market users. Aside from better responsiveness, the new Symbian OS offers Nokia users a faster web experience. Nokia comes with a URL entry bar, a “back” button, a search-integrated address field, extended toolbar buttons, a much faster history navigation, a split screen virtual keyboard (the Nokia E6 does not need this feature for it has a physical QWERTY keyboard), and faster page loading.
Ovi Maps is believed to be one of the few apps that can compete with Google Maps in web. With the Anna version, users enjoy smarter search options, Face book integration, Twitter integration, sharing locations via email, as well as sharing locations with non Nokia mobile handsets. Ovi services have been improved as well. Via WLAN, the download limit has been more increased. Errors have been fixed when this comes to search engine optimization. Lastly, syncing Ovi Suite with our laptop or desktop has been improved as now syncs seamlessly.
