Class X CBSE-Central Board of Secondary Education, results declared on May 28, 2010

The results of the over nine lakh students who has appeared for class X CBSE examination. This exam was held under grading system for the first time. The results werre declared on May 28, 2010.

The class X CBSE students will be awarded the grades from this year onwards and not the percentage of marks as were announced till the last year. This new system will be based on the nine point scale. The grading starts from A1-exceptional to E2-unsatisfactory.

For the example, students who scores in the range of 91% to 100% will be awarded an A1 grade. The new grading system will hopes to rid the students of mad scramble for marks to reduce the unnecessary burden.

The Central Board of Secondary Education(CBSE) will make the results available on its websites http://www.cbseresults.nic.in and http://www.cbse.nic.in, also over phone and through SMS after 10 O’ Clock in the morning on May 28, 2010. This information was said in a statement by CBSE.

CBSE said that they made special arrangements for quick access of the results by individuals and as well as schools. The schools will be able to get the entire results by registering their school code & email-id on CBSE websites.

CBSE said that the students also can get their results on their mail addresses by registering themselves on the CBSE websites http://www.cbseresults.nic.in and http://www.cbse.nic.in.

According to the CBSE, the number of students who appeared for the CBSE class X examination is 8.65% more than last year. Among the candidates boys were 5 lakh 33 thousand 715 and the girls were 3 lakh 68 thousand 802. The total were 9 lakh 02 thousand 517. The results also will be available through the IVRS, interactive voice response system and through the SMS after 10 O’ Clock in the Friday morning.
